Neighbourhood Renewal
Wirral Partnership
NRF in Wirral
We are retained as providers of management support and financial monitoring
to NRF in Wirral. This places us at the coalface of neighbourhood renewal,
with day-to-day experience of working with people, businesses and service
providers in deprived areas. Our successes in Wirral have included support
to the LSP's NR Policy Group (includes resident representatives, councillors
and service providers), the design and implementation of a mechanism
to commission what works for the target communities and several dissemination
events.

Metropolitan Borough of Wirral
Neighbourhood Renewal Strategy
On behalf of the Wirral Partnership we were engaged to produce a local
neighbourhood renewal strategy for the deprived neighbourhoods of Wirral.
This has involved:
- Identification of the baseline data for the priority areas against
the floor targets;
- Extensive consultation with service providers and local communities;
- Determination of complementary local objectives for neighbourhood
renewal;
- Conducting a detailed resource mapping exercise to establish the
mainstream (and other) activities in the deprived areas;
- Establishing the priority under which NRF resources should be allocated;
- Production of an overall strategy to link the strategic actions
of the LSP to the requirements of neighbourhood organisations.

Wansbeck Initiative
Local Neighbourhood Renewal Strategy
We recently completed work on Wansbeck's LNRS on behalf of the formative
Local Strategic Partnership (the Wansbeck Initiative). The target of
activity is the seven most deprived neighbourhoods within this Northumberland
district. Focus is upon the achieving floor targets related to the five
themes of the Neighbourhood Renewal Strategy and Action Plan. Activity
is also focused upon developing an action plan for neighbourhood learning
as an integral part of the comprehensive action plan for Wansbeck's
most deprived areas.

City Partnership, Stoke-on-Trent
Local Action Plans for Neighbourhood Renewal
We were retained in Stoke to work with the Community Facilitation Team
to produce six action plans for the target NRF wards. This has required
consultation with service providers at senior levels and a review of
their service delivery plans to highlight and encourage targeting of
these deprived areas. Alongside the Community Facilitation team we have
also consulted with local voluntary/community sector groups and analysed
Planning for Real and Rapid Needs Assessments to produce detailed priorities
in the local area.

Bradford Vision
NRF Evaluation
We are midway through an extensive evaluation programme covering the
£23m allocation of NRF over three years in Bradford. This has
required extensive political consultation among Bradford's communities
and Politicians, detailed review of the area's NRS, target and performance
assessment and the preparation of case studies celebrating good practice
in the programme.
